McCormick's Country Store celebrate winning the 2009 PELA CFDC Business
Planning Competition by serving up delicious Pizza.
They used the $50,000 interest free
loan to open a Square Boy Pizza franchise at their store in
Camden East.
Carol & Larry Pealow, Clients of PELA CFDC were visited
by Don Cherry & Ron MacLean from Hockey Night in Canada.
Carol & Larry run the Pine Grove Motel in
Northbrook, a recent winner of the PELA CFDC Regeneration Challenge. Their
$5,000 Interest Free loan funded the conversion of one of their units to fully
accessible, thus opening up the beauty of the Canadian shield to physically
challenged visitors to the region.
