Business Development Consultant



This contract position, reporting to the Business Development Manager, will support the processing of customer loan applications. Working out of both the Picton and Napanee Offices, the business consultant will serve as a point of contact and resource for customers in the development of a business plan and work to resolve issues that may affect the loan application process.

The ideal candidate will have:
•    Strong business analytical and critical reasoning skills
•    Intermediate computer skills (familiar with MS Office products, in particular excel)
•    Excellent customer service skills
•    Experience working with the small business sector

About PELA CFDC
The Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington Community Futures Development Corporation (PELA CFDC) is a community-based, Government of Canada funded, non-profit corporation whose key objectives are to encourage entrepreneurship and foster local economic development.
Through the Community Futures Lending Program, PELA CFDC disburses loans of up to $250,000 to new and existing businesses that directly support the creation and/or maintenance of jobs. PELA CFDC specializes in providing financing to organizations unable to access funding through traditional sources.

Deadline for receipt of résumé is August 28, 2009 at 4:30pm at either of the PELA CFDC offices. Only applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
